2010 Goals – The Review

It’s coming to the end of the year and it is time to review the goals that I set at the beginning of 2010 and see how I have got on with achieving them.

Goal 1 – To get through University

MMU logoThis goal was about me passing my Foundation Year at university and being able to start my degree in Web Development. If you have been a reader of this blog, you will know that this has been a success and I am halfway through my first year of my degree.

It is still extremely weird feeling to be back at university, but I have to say that I am enjoying it. Fingers crossed that the next three years are just as successful as the Foundation year, then I will be on for a first.

Goal 2 – To be more organised

Must get organisedAlthough I passed the first goal with flying colours, this goal is the total opposite. Yeah, certain aspects I have become a little more organised but in others I fail completely. Doesn’t help that I have not had my main computer for ages so lost my main calendar.

In relation to my procrastination problem, this year appears to be far worse. This is definitely something that I will need to work on in 2011.

Goal 3 – To be healthy again

AppleWell, this is a partial achievement. I have joined the gym again and have felt the benefits..when I go. Just recently I have not been going as much as I would like to (once or twice a fortnight).I understood that there are times that the gym will need to take a back seat, such as when assignments are due however I don’t have any at the moment and haven’t been going.

In relation to my eating habits, they are just the same. There are two things that I have a problem with at the moment. If I am at home I forget to eat…sometimes I don’t notice that I haven’t eaten and it’s nearly 4pm. Secondly, when I am at university or at work, I tend to eat junk. I don’t agree with cutting out the foods you like…just cutting back. At the moment, there is no cutting back.

So overall, I am kind of happy with the way this year went. Let’s hope that 2011 can fair a little better.
