A look back at the completed cross-stitch work that I did during 2023.

Additional information
This was my first attempt at blackwork, and I really enjoyed it.
I think it’s the way that you tackle the pattern, that it can become quite hypnotic.
Disney Rose Castle

5 January 2022 – 12 March 2023
Additional information
This was a piece that I picked up every now and then in between projects. It was a little monotonous to complete at times. It is also the first piece where I started to add a signature after completion.
It technically was a gift for the husby as he is a huge Disney fan and avid gardener, but it’s been in my office since completion.

Ewe are my sunshine
Thomas Joseph

12 March 2023 – 06 November 2023
Additional information
This kit was a gift from my mum after climbing Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon).
It may have been a small pattern, but it was a little bit of a nightmare to complete. Plus, I wasn’t provided with enough thread, so had to buy more to complete it!
Xmas 2023

7 hours 4 mins
6 November 2023 – 10 November 2023
Additional information
The traditional Xmas decoration is back.
I did update the pattern slightly as the topic was originally related to the Canada fires, but as the world saw many countries experiencing fires it seemed more apt to change to everywhere!

Where my Grinches at?
BeverlyStreetShop
19 hours 25 mins
10 November 2023 – 23 November 2023
Additional informational
As much as I am not a fan of Xmas, I do appear to do a lot of theme-related projects, don’t I?
Obviously, while our reasons for being miserable around the Xmas period may be different, I feel the Grinch and I can relate more.
Geometric Reindeer
BeverlyStreetShop
12 hours 48 mins
23 November 2023 – 12 Decemberr 2023
Additional informational
You’d think being geometric shapes it wouldn’t be that difficult to do would you?
For the size of the project, I spent a lot of the time frogging!
Jargon Buster – Frogging is when you make a mistake and you need to remove the stitches. Why frog, I hear you cry? Well, frogs make a “ribbit” sound, and we “rip-it” the stitches out. Look I don’t make the rules here
