New website launched

After getting married last year, the old website address felt a little obsolete so it seemed a good time to have a little bit of a change. I could have either created a new free blog with WordPress or go self-hosting.

I decided on the latter because it would provide more flexibility and I was nearing the website limit before I would need to start paying (astronomical prices). Additionally, by going self hosting it would give more more flexibility on how I wanted the website to run and look.

At the present moment, I am using a free template for the website, with the plan to make a few small amendments a long the way. When I have some free time, I would like to tackle creating WordPress themes, although that will be sometime in the future.

All the existing posts from my previous blog have been imported to the new site, although the majority of them are not viewable yet. Apart from wanting to review each post for broken links, the majority of the images didn’t import, so they need to be manually re-added. They joy!

I have gone through the last couple of years and published these posts, and I shall work through the others over the year. Additionally, not all of the 600 posts will be republished, as some of the content is a little too personal to what I would want to share now. I am surprised I even shared it in the first place.
