With January feeling like it’s taken 6 months to pass, the total opposite can be said February. It feels like it’s come and gone in a weekend!
The majority of February, I had to miss Crossfit, due to a shoulder injury; which was frustrating.
The physio thinks that I strained a muscle, and also trapped something while exercising. Additionally, the physio confirmed that the shoulder clicking, which I’ve had for as long as I can remember, is due to my clavicle bone popping.
So for the last month, I have been having physio to help with the injury. Additionally, we’re also going to work on my posture (I’ve got a desk slouch). And the results have been positive. So much so, that I’ve started back at Crossfit. I’m taking it slowly, as my shoulder still isn’t 100%, but I’m also trying to challenge myself.
A group from work thought we’d venture for some trampolining fun at KICKair. It’s been a long time since we did an activity like this; since we did Crystal Maze last year.
A group of adults taking over the place, for two hours, doing non-adult things. Sometimes, you need to do this. It really does help de-stress you.
If you’ve never done a trampoline park, then I would suggest giving it a go. KICKair has several areas to try out, including a ninja obstacle and a bouldering area.
Although, my shoulder started to play up near the end of the session, after my attempt to complete the ninja course failed. It’s a lot harder than I expected.
February also saw me venture to London for the first time since 2000.
A group of Manchester peeps went down to celebrate Simon’s birthday. And while I was a bit anxious, as I’m not really a fan of the big smoke, but a good time was had.
We spent Saturday night at XXL, and a great time was had by all. Albeit, I got lost on numerous occasions. I think it took us about 5 minutes just to find the exit.
On Sunday, we ventured to RVT to see the Dame Edna Experience. Another fantastic time, although I can’t remember getting back to the hotel, let alone falling asleep on the toilet!
The plan is not to leave the next visit to London as long as I did last time. In fact, the plan is to revisit near the end of the year…for Bill’s stag do.
Gawd help London!!!
