The ”Today is all about” post for March is arriving a little later than I wanted, although it is for good reason. I have been spending my spare time planning and organising our holiday. However, I thought I better get this out before the end of the month is upon us.

Neighbours
The last couple of months have been an interesting time for Neighbours fans.
Following the excitement of the 40th Anniversary Tour, everyone was on a high, but it was short-lived. Amazon announced that they would not be renewing the show, and it would come to an end later this year.
While fans were still reeling from the news, we rolled straight into the anniversary week. And what better way to celebrate than with several Top 10 (and even a Top 20) lists covering all things Neighbours?
CrossFit Open
In 2024, I completed my first CrossFit Open, and I had planned to do the same this year. However, I ultimately decided against it for two main reasons.
First, last year, Lazar Dukic tragically died while competing in the CrossFit Games, and the way the situation was handled left a sour taste in my mouth. An independent review was conducted, but the report was never released, and there was no accountability.
Secondly, CrossFit’s stance on trans athletes took a significant U-turn. The request for athletes to snitch on trans competitors just felt… icky.
So while I still completed the workouts, I didn’t register officially. Instead, I chose to donate my registration fee to the trans charity Not a Phase.
It turns out I wasn’t the only one with issues regarding the CrossFit Open, as there was a reported drop of 32% in registrations compared to the previous year.
