Today is all about…October 2021

Summary:

“Today is all about…”, is a daily project turned diary. This is October 2021.

Like last month, this October post is going to be short and sweet, while I play catch up with months of being CBA.

Normality will resume shortly…hopefully!

This month talking points

Anniversary #7

The beginning of October is always a good one, as it is when we celebrate our wedding anniversary.

Granted, this year is known as the 7-year-itch, and it has that superstition around it, but we are still here. And to-be-fair, after nearly 18 years together, I think it is safe to say that the itch has been well and truly scratched!

For our anniversary, we go out for a nice meal to a place we haven’t been to before. This year we went to The Ivy Manchester.

We started off having a cocktail upstairs, before returning downstairs to have a really tasty meal.

Next year is the husby’s choice. So that’ll be interesting to see where we end up.

Fitness

I’m definitely back on the fitness train this October.

I’ve upped the number of sessions I’m doing at the gym, as I have started returning to the throwdown sessions.

I’m really enjoying being back, and I’m slowly pushing myself further, even getting a personal best in some places.

Additionally, and more importantly, I’m started to see positive changes and my body confidence is slowly returning.

I’ve still got a long way to go until I’m really there, but it’s definitely going in the right direction.

Halloween

Originally I wasn’t planning on doing anything for Halloween, but somehow in the process of shopping in B&M, I decided that I wanted a cheap wig…and things changed.

I didn’t feel like I wanted to venture “out-out”, as the last few times I didn’t feel it. So, instead, I thought we would have a little get together at ours with a few peeps. Plus, any excuse to get into fancy dress.

With everything being so last minute, and after randomly buying the black wig, I decided I would dress up as a dead bride.

Although as it was at home, I raided the dressing-up box, and had a few costume changes…to a demon and a unicorn.

Standard Halloween!
